Namegrad: generator and codes for xat

Namegrad is the epic xat power that paints your name with a gradient of up to 15 colours. The code goes in brackets after your nick, e.g. (glow#0#grad#ff0000#0000ff#r45): "glow" sets the glow colour, "grad" opens the list of hex colours and "r45" rotates the gradient. This generator lets you pick the colours, angle, Namewave motion and glow, shows the result exactly as the chat renders it and copies the code. Paste an existing code into the editor to tweak it, or convert it from CSS. You need Namecolor and Nameglow for it to work.

Frequently asked questions

How do I write a Namegrad code?+

After your name: (glow#GLOWCOLOUR#grad#COLOUR1#COLOUR2#…#rANGLE). Colours are 6-digit hex without the hash, from 2 to 15 of them; "glow#0" removes the glow. You can add #o1/#o2/#o3 (Namewave motion), #f1/#f3/#f4 (speed) and #sN (shifts the rainbow).

What if I use fewer than 2 colours or a typo?+

xat cuts the list at the first token that is not a colour; if fewer than 2 remain it paints its 15-colour rainbow. The simulator flags every invalid token and shows exactly what the chat will display.

Which powers do I need?+

Namegrad requires Namecolor and Nameglow. The animated wave also needs Namewave; the flag needs Nameflag; the gem texture needs Ruby (jewel).

Can I use shortcuts like r, g, b or +++?+

Yes: xat accepts r (red), g (green), b (blue) and combinations (rb, gb, bgr…) plus + and - to lighten or darken. The generator decodes them like the chat does, and the converter turns any CSS into a xat code.
