xat user: online? and what powers they own

Type the registered name or the ID of a xat user. You will see whether they are connected, their ID and name, and the list of powers they own with their approximate value in xats, their doubles and what they are missing for ALLPOWERS. Data is fetched from xat.com through the Xatools bot.

How it works

Online status
The Xatools bot is connected to xat and asks the server about the user. It only counts as connected if xat answers "Online"; any other state (available, away, no answer) is shown as offline. The result is cached for 1 minute.
A user's powers
xat only reveals a user's powers when the bot "sees" them in a chat or when the user answers a locate. If there is no data yet, join a chat with the bot (or xat_test) and check again. Cached for 5 minutes.
Gifts
Public gift list (api.xatblog.net). It does not depend on the bot or on the user being in a chat. Cached for 5 minutes.

Data comes live from xat.com through the Xatools bot and is also available in the public API.

Frequently asked questions

How do I know if someone is online on xat?+

Type their registered name or ID and press "Is online?". The Xatools bot asks xat: it only counts as connected if the answer is "Online"; any other state is shown as offline. The result is cached for one minute.

Why are a user's powers not showing?+

xat only sends a user's powers when the bot sees them in a chat. If there is no data, ask the user to join a chat with the bot (for example xat_test) and check again.

Is the xats value exact?+

No: it is the sum of each power's price range (store or fair-trade). It does not include xats, days or group powers, and limited powers change price.

Can I use this from my bot or website?+

Yes: the public Xatools API offers /v1/user/{id|nick}, /v1/user/{id|nick}/online and /v1/user/{id|nick}/powers as JSON with CORS.
